Programmes

Music Minds has programmes focussed on the following environments:

In the class

Pre-school – the pre-school programme includes specific classes for babies and children between the ages of 0 – 1, 1 – 2, 2 – 3, 3 – 4 and 4 – 5. Each programme contains different age-appropriate stimulation programmes that gradually grow in complexity and include focused steps for the development of:

  • Speaking skills
  • Motor skills
  • Listening skills
  • Visual skills
  • Tactile development, and
  • Language development.

In the school

Due to popular demand our programme now also includes classes for Gr. R, Gr. 1, Gr. 2 and Gr. 3 children. These classes are specifically geared to stimulate our school-going children in the development of their cognitive, language, mathematical, sensory and motor abilities.

In the studio

Studio classes – for licensed practitioners who work from a studio. This Music Minds programme includes all the elements of the pre-school and school programs, but with the ability to combine classes of children of different ages.

How will my child benefit?

Music Minds has been developed for South African children and is available in both English and Afrikaans.

The programme uses the proven channel of music, with various exercises, to develop a child’s mind and create a sound foundation for the development of the child’s physical, mental and social skills.

The programme has many benefits, including:

  • Locally relevant and age-appropriate classes for children of every age up to 9 years old.
  • Gradual and progressive advancement from one class to the other, with the entire curriculum developed to form a coherent development plan from birth to the age of 9 years old.
  • Detailed reporting.
  • Educator training and development.

About us

We lay the foundation of our children’s mental development and much of their future success before the age of ten.

Music Minds is a scientifically proven system that starts with baby development and works step-by-step to develop a child’s cognitive abilities before they go to the intermediate phase. The programme uses the proven channel of music to develop a child’s visual and motor skills, their listening and speaking skills and their language and tactile development.

The Music Minds programme was developed for South African children, with age-appropriate and culturally relevant songs, illustrations and activities. Music Minds is available in both English and Afrikaans.
